Courtney's Childminding Services

My name is Courtney Mayer and I have been living in the UK since 2007 after relocating all the way from a sunny coastal town in South Africa. I am an Ofsted registered childminder currently living in Lindfield, West Sussex. I share my home with my husband and my beautiful little boy that will be 7 years old later this year (where does the time go? eek) who is in year 1 at school in Haywards Heath. I have a passion for caring for children and provide a safe, happy and fun environment that children are able learn and develop in. My hobbies include Reading, Cooking, Travel, spending time with friends and family and doing anything creative (to name a few). I believe myself to be a very bubbly, warm and relaxed person with lots of energy to keep the little ones busy! As a family we are quite adventurous and enjoy a number of activities such as visiting theme parks, farms/animal parks, travelling to different countries and learning about the different cultures of the world, competing in karting races, experiencing different restaurants and foods, cooking/baking together, playing board games, flying our drone in the park etc although we do also enjoy some down time and have a routine movie night (on a projector screen)on a Friday evening complete with hot chocolate and popcorn!

Although most of my working life has been centred around the property industry, I have always enjoyed working with children through various babysitting roles over the years and finally decided to pursue a career around 4 years ago whereby I began my studies in childcare alongside working which, although was quite crazy -it certainly was the best decision I have ever made! I have assisted with childcare in a nursery school in Lindfield, have also taken care of many friends/work colleagues children and am a partner/Ofsted registration holder of a nursery school in London. I have a full paediatric first aid, completed a HBCA through Pacey(whom I am professionally associated) and have a full DBS clearance (update service registered). my goals are to study further in the hopes of obtaining a full teaching degree!
