My Setting

I live with my husband Dean and my 6 year old son in a 3 bedroom end of terrace house on a quiet cul-de-sac in Lindfield, which is home to many young families. We are closely located to a number of parks, leisure centres, soft play's, Play groups, farms etc which is great when exploring and going out and about. 

​

We have a large, child friendly and fully enclosed back garden with a play house, trampoline, large range of outdoor toys and games as well as a splash spa in the summer months which is generally covered with a child proof safety cover and gazebo for sun protection. 

​

Indoors I have a dedicated play room which contains the following:

​

  • Dress up rail

  • A wide range of books

  • Puzzles

  • Role play items 

  • Games

  • Age appropriate toys for babies - 12 years

  • Tablets 

  • Arts and crafts

  • Baby walker 

  • baby bouncer

  • Educational toys 

  • and lots more!

In our lounge area we have a projector and screen, which is lovely when it gets too chilly outside, as it becomes a private cinema for the kids complete with popcorn! I have sleeping mats/fluffy blankets and pillows for each child at nap time and this is all set up in our lounge too. 

 

Besides cooking healthy meals daily for the children, I do also have a 'self serve' table in the kitchen which has a water fountain and a bowl of fruit which is regularly stocked so children are able to help themselves. I find this promotes a really good sense of independence and pride within the children as well as getting them to try new things and getting confident and comfortable within my setting. I have a conservatory area with 2 tables and sets of chairs where children are able to enjoy their meals daily.

For really little ones, I have a separate sleeping room which has a cot, mobile etc. I do have bumbos, bouncers, bottle cleaners, changing mats and all the necessities to look after a babies within my setting.

​

I have a buggy, booster and car seats when taking trips in the car, ensuring safety of all children in my care. 

​
